Yeah I'm totally aware that I'm wearing a waistcoat. But with good reason! 

Walking past Zara in the Trafford Centre the other night, I couldn't help but notice the increeeeedible new season window displays. The item that had taken center space was nothing other that the most beautiful black velvet embroidered waist coat. It was love at first sight. Yet, I knew we could never be together. The reason? The £69.99 price tag. 

So instead, I went home and cried for my long lost waistcoat. And then - as if by magic - my mum decided to have a clear out. And what should be on top of the pile, other than this woolen beauty! 

Admittedly, it's not as delicately bohemian-chic as the Zara one, but it's totallllly 70s and I think I'm going to try and find a way to work it into everything that I wear for the next month or so...

I fear I might have a problem. My morning routine has gotten to a point that before I even check my texts, facebook or Instagram, I'm on ASOS' New In section seeing if there's anything I've missed off my 'saved items' collection. 'If I was a rich girl' starts playing round and round in my head as I click the heart button on pretty much everything. But how can I not, when their own brand line is this good?

I know summer is a while off, but who cares if there's still snow falling from the sky when your wardrobe could be full of crochet and summer dresses?

To justify my choices, they are all black. No white linen, no colour and no bikinis... Yet.

ASOS' jewellery game is spot on at the moment. Which is an unfortunate thing for my bank account, because while I can resist spontaneous clothing purchases, jewellery - not so much.

Because when booking a holiday to Istanbul you need at least one pair of shoes in preperation...

Still can't get enough of two pieces, especially the kind with monochrome stripes...

Swing Dress

This is ridiculous. It's less than 1 degree outside and I'm looking at dresses with no shoulders. What's the deal?!

Croatia Style File #4

Another day at the beach, another beachy outfit. I'm obsessed with crochet at the moment and had been searching everywhere for something white and pretty, when I remembered that I'd picked up this Zara number in the sale a couple of years ago! I love finding things in my wardrobe that have been forgotten about, and restyling them with a fresh mind. 

I think it's my summer staple, and I can't wait to wear it out for drinks with big gold hoops and a black slip dress underneath!

Croatia Style File #3

We drove down to Zuljana on our third day for a day at the beach. Most beaches in Croatia are pebbled so we thought we'd just stay for an hour or two! We discovered a tiny cove, off the beaten track, up a lot of very steep steps and through some bushes and ended up staying there a good few hours! 

The thing I love most about travelling is discovering parts of the world and different countries you'd never normally see.

I wore this out for our first proper 'meal out', mostly to disguise the three hundred mosquito bites on my legs! Joking aside, this is probably the most un-me thing I've ever worn, but I'm completely in love with my Waiste vintage skirt! 

I used to wear these type of skirts all the time when I was about 7 or 8, so this is a total throw back. The loose linen fabric and tie waist makes it the perfect holiday piece, and paired with my fringed suede boots I felt like I was off to the wild-west!

The colour white scares me a little, mainly because I'm prone to spilling my drink on myself no matter where I am or what I'm wearing. Yet every internet browsing lunch break I seem to be drawn to white cotton dresses with broderie anglaise details.

Nasty Gal have the world's best selection of clothes ever and if it wasn't for the import charges making me cry, I'd probably spend every last penny of my wages buying myself a new wardrobe every month.

Their pretty white dresses and sleek flared jumpsuits are really just too much.

*So it seems I like to hold onto my hair for dear life while being photographed - world's most awkward person right here...

I love Monki. If I could create my own brand and design my own clothes they would probably resonate Monki's. And like everybody else seems to be at the moment I'm totally obsessed with two pieces.

I wish I didn't have such fair skin because I'm such a sun child. Which almost always results in severely painful burns after every sunny holiday. And skiing ones too - never have I ever burnt my entire neck before a skiing holiday...

The only thing I've ever bought from Forever 21 is a camel blazer which has had a hell of a lot of wear. I don't why I don't shop there more often to be quite honest! It's pretty much my ideal summer wardrobe all under one roof/site. 

These pastel pink and black floral numbers are beautiful, I'm not a fan of maxi skirts as they tend to make me look shorter than I am, but the high slits and waistlines make up for the length! I'm going to have to start sneaking these into my everyday wardrobe, because at £12 for the skirts it'd be rude not to really.

I'm probably the world's most awkward photo subject, I just never know what to do with my arms. Or legs. Or face. I guess it's pretty mandatory to have outfit posts, so here goes nothing! 

It's Good Friday and I've spent the day freckling, eating ice lollies and taking the dog for a walk. I wish every weekend was a four day bank holiday, it's been so so chilled! 

Definitely a casual outfit today, premiering my new Topshop mom jeans with frayed ankles - I'm obsessed. I've always worn skinny jeans, and I mean always. This is my (ever) first venture into baggy, boyfriend-y, mom jeans and now there's no going back and I've got my eye on another three pairs.. Oops.
